not all would have sold at a loss especially with the pump the other day. But dont forget the also have the free options. So they can sell out, reuse the capital in something else, and still have a position later on down the track if MYG picks up/makes prodution. So to them to sell at what they paid is not such a problem or a waste.
Granted not all the SI will do this but it seems to be what is happening lately especially with the uncertainty throughout the market.
