The second and third options IMO, are more to the point. In the meantime we have been the suckers that let them do what they wanted and freely, while we were under the belief that they were going to lead us to the promised land.
All of a sudden, and totally out of the blue, the rude shock was presented to us. And while we have been left licking our wounds, and wondering what is going on, the Jockey (like db said) is leaving the scene on his white steed with the 8 million shares loot in his saddle bag, and all for himself.
