Maybe I am being a little presumptious, but I assumed that IGO saw where to look at Tropicana and would have made the discovery had it had the funding for the program that Anglo undertook. May be I am wrong.

Agree that MCR's mines are not worth IGO's while, but seems to me that at some stage IGO's opportunities might lie in continuing exploration further to the north. Nothing worth buying all the MCR baggage for, but worth a tenement deal, as eventually IGO will have the underground infrastructure at depth to explore and access stuff MCR can't. Just speculation.
The best thing IGO never did was to takeover or merge with MCR.
