Brilliant post mja, some very valid reasons as to why the median is a worthless metric. I could add the fact that first home buyer activity is at major lows, further skewing these figures.
It really is a joke that they are quoting this useless figure for something worth a few trillion dollars like it is some sort of joke. People have their life savings and hundreds of thousands if not millions at stake here and they serve up this feelgood rubbish to the masses and to those who only want to hear the good news. Those that are open to alternate views IMO have a better chance to have made better decisions regarding these investments.
