Did anyone else receive the "First Production in Kalahari CopperBelt" presentation via email? I believe the presentation is being presented at the "Africe Down Under Conference" in Perth...
I am surprised it has not been posted on the ASX. Although it does not really reveal anything significantly new, the points which really stood out for me in light of ongoing speculation re a takeover from OZ Minerals as reported in the media are the following points:
- top 10 shareholders hold 49% of shares, this alone would suggest that any successful takeover bid would require a huge premium
- "Boseto 2" is planned for definition during 2012. Reports thus far have been very positive, by defining additional resource and extending current mine life, you would expect significant appreciation in the SP
- "Boseto 3" planned for definition in 2013/ 2014...as everyone is aware, the land tenements are huge..
- Boseto expansion is targeting 25+ years mine life with an increase in production to +50K per annum
Considering the high quality of the copper being presented and the predictions of global copper shortages of inferior quality, i dare say the future looks fantastic with multiples in SP still within the medium term...lets hope the rumours arent true and OZ Minerals or anyone else does not make a low ball approach given the current uncertainties in global markets..
