Why should people have to ask to chop trees down on their own property, given that it's not national parks?
But also we have people who winge about backburning because of the smoke... Ya just can't win sometimes.
But yes, as you say MobyT rainforest areas around us that got logged decades ago are now the most prone to fires etc. As regrowth is nowhere near that of a million year old forest.
And I agree the next 'warm' period will be a hot one I recon.
