`The Renovators' homes set for auction

As has been the flavour of the last few months or so Channel 10?s reality renovation series `The Renovators? has been a ratings winner for the broadcaster and is about to be wound up.
Last month we saw Channel 9?s `The Block? auction finale, where despite disappointing results on auction night, the properties eventually sold for profit and the program itself was a huge winner for producers.
Over three months `The Renovators? faced off with six houses from hell. The task: to transform these nightmares into real estate gold. The renovations took place in houses across the suburbs of Sydney as the contestants? renovation imagination became renovated reality.
In never before seen challenges, the renovators were put to the test, battling to keep their place in the game, on the largest renovation stage ever seen - a 13,000 square metre warehouse.
The Warehouse, was the largest television set in Australia - where contestants fought for competition survival in a series of design, decorating and construction challenges to win valuable assets and advantages for their own renovations.
To win the game the 26 contestants needed to get their hands on one of the six homes to start designing?but that was only the beginning, because hanging on to their new home would prove to be tough.
With people being eliminated along the way, the properties ranged from a shop and weatherboard to a half done house and fibro cottage, with an inner city terrace and sixties suburban property thrown in for good measure.
All properties have now been completed and will be auctioned between Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th September by agents Century 21.
The Shop, at 146 Addison Rd, Marrickville has been transformed into an immaculate three bedroom, one bathroom abode in the heart of the suburb?s funky arts and crafts precinct.
The Weatherboard, at 51 Franklin St, Parramatta in now a modern family?s dream with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a great sized entertaining and backyard area.
The Inner-City Terrace, at 12 Hegarty St, Glebe is a fantastically renovated three bedroom, two bathroom masterpiece. Featuring open plan living and a two feature fireplaces it has been described as a couple?s dream.
The Sixties Suburban has really come of age. Located at 15 Anthony Rd, Castle Hill, this former home stuck in a timewarp is now something to behold.
The Half Done House at 5 Frederick St, St Peters has really been topped off to perfection. Passed its Edwardian fascade this home has really been progressed into the 21st Century.
That leaves just the Fibro Cottage at 85 Harold St, Blacktown. This former little shack is now an entertainer?s or family?s delight with expansive outdoor living areas and modern indoor features.
With the auctions looming and the controversy surrounding that of The Block home sales, it?s anyone?s guess how these will go in what is currently being described as a flat and unpredictable Australian property market.
    Only time will tell.
