sorry i figured pretty much everyone had heard of the bre x
scandal, they were a canadian gold company that had land in asia, cant remember just where, but dosnt matter , they kept reporting these huge gold finds, drove the stock price up to around around a hundred bucks and as it turns out they had nothing, alot of people lost a ton of money, i would have to look it up but i think it was around the mid to late ninties when it happend
