nice presentation today clarifying the kaolin (alumina clay) recovery
the original announcement mentioned a 20kg sample however today's announement specifies the results were from a 4kg sample
this makes the 1.06kgs of 99% metallurgical grade alumina the same recovery as standard alumina from bauxite
my understanding is around 7 parts parts of bauxite makes 2 parts of alumina (28.5% recovery)
so, with AKA, they recovered 1.06kg of alumina from 4kg of ore, which is a 26.5% recovery
