I admit I haven't followed a lot of this as closely as a shareholder with a fair bit of skin should but isn't there also a cloud hanging over the legality of the lease and/or the mining licence?
I am not asking whether they are or are not legal in peoples minds but rather is there still suspicion that there was impropriety in their issuance?
If so, could this be a "get out of jail" card for the Government, or SMM?
Could that argument circumvent all other issues if played right?
