    Tax deduction for costs such as maintenance/repair/rate & water payment, etc is fair. But tax deduction for interest for loans should exclude for established houses.
    Many tax payers use NG as a tool for minimising tax even though they can buy a rental property without NG.
    Renters don't get any tax deduction for renting.
    ATO and Renters subsidise the property investors with NG.
    NG increases inequality and imbalance in the society.
    Therefore, tax law must be changed in a socially acceptable/fair manner.
    Just my thought.
