I thought it was a terrific final, and not just cos Carlton lost.
There were 30 goals kicked and plenty of pressure (which causes contested footy) - that's what finals are all about!
The only downside was the umpiring. The amount of free kicks paid early was a disgrace - 19 I think in the first quarter (almost gifted the game to Carlton). Contrast that against just 2 in the last. The latter is how it should be - let the players sort it out.
A shame too for Carlton that Murphy can't kick a straight set-shot over 20 metres. Could have had Carlton out to a 5-6 goal lead early into the 2nd term.
