Dubai Chamber Country Focus Briefing to explore Australian market
"In order to explore new trade links with Australia and to enhance the competitiveness of Dubai businesses in promising global markets, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Australian Embassy is all set to host its fourth Country Focus Briefing of the year which, this time, puts the spotlight on Australia, the world's 13th largest economy.
Slated to be held at the Chamber premises on September 26, the business networking meeting will be attended by H.E. Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber, H.E. Doug Trappett, Australian Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Kym Hewett, Consul General and Senior Trade Commissioner, Austrade, and Mr Raymi van der Spek, Chairman, Australian Business Council.
The networking event will cover sectors like banking and finance, travel and tourism, trade and investment, agriculture, health, and architecture, through business-related presentations by representatives of Macquarie Capital Advisers (Dubai) Ltd, Emirates airline, Future Fibre Technologies, Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), Prima Biomed and Modelcraft, an Australian SME.
Launched last year, the Dubai Chamber initiative of the Country Focus Briefing is organised in association with embassies, business councils, trade centres and representative offices of target countries.
The main objective of the briefing is to introduce business opportunities in one chosen market to Dubai's business community so as to empower them to explore emerging export destinations, develop relationships with relevant trade bodies as well as enhance their competitiveness in the global business arena. So far, the initiative brought into focus emerging markets like Chile, Switzerland, Japan, Turkey, Brazil and Ethiopia."
