"Lastly, as dramatic as it might be, there's not time to get an EGM up is there? "

    Hi Lilac,

I hear where you are coming from and the possibility that AN OBSERVER may be following what we are saying. But IMHO, they should be made aware that we are not going to take it laying down either.

If you and others are happy to do it the way you want to, so be it, and I may follow. But, be aware that, IMO, the AGM will not be held until after the SOA meeting will be held.

As for the part that you wrote which has been copied and pasted above, the following may be of interest to you and a few others.

"An Extraordinary General Meeting, commonly abbreviated as EGM, is a meeting of members of an organisation, shareholders of a company, or employees of an official body, which occurs at an irregular time.
The term is usually used where the group would ordinarily hold an AGM, but where an issue arises which requires the input of the entire membership and is too serious or urgent to wait until the next AGM. Members and/or shareholders must be informed of the purpose of the EGM so that they may attend in a position where they can discuss and exercise intelligent judgment, otherwise any resolutions passed are invalid.
In some settings, this is known as a Special General Meeting or an Emergency General Meeting.
Within 21 days from the date of receipt of requisition the directors must send out a notice in order to convene a meeting within 28 days after the date of giving the notice.

What Does Extraordinary General Meeting - EGM Mean?
A meeting other than the annual general meeting between a company's shareholders, executives and any other members. An EGM is usually called on short notice and deals with an urgent matter."

Finally Lilac, this is not meant to try to promote and instill/encourage a revolt by shareholders in any ways or form. It is just a suggestion on my part for some avenues that may be available to shareholders in general that may not be happy with any company's doings, and what is available to them if they so require.

    Please DYOR.

    Regards.
