    milesg....would that mean any loss realised in any year would have to be indexed to inflation over the term of the ownership of the investment...

    That would only be fair after all...

    I still think that if they dropped NG they would have to trade off somewhere or there would be few keen investors to house people. I also think drop NG and houses will become cheaper through less demand therefore encouraging some to buy a house where they otherwise may not have...
    Just a thought..
