It is all about wealth creation,I agree and good companies paying franked divi's are the lifeblood of a strong economy.It doesn't matter whether one buys at the top,bottom or in between as long as the company is viable and pays a dividend better than the bank rate for the forseeable (?) future.

We all eat,pay insurance,take out mortgages and take holidays.Use electicity,gas and petrol.

I don't see an end to this in the short term-lol.

Me,I invest for my dotage,which btw is only 20 or so years away.

Now that is confidence for you @ 60 years of age:)
