placement gives you quick cash but doesn't give you a strong partner - yeah, if LCY was looking for a pure money play then the deal is lousy, the up front cash is a low ball offer - but NMDC are (hopefully) bringing more to the table than their cash - and that's what the market will evaluate the deal on..... I'd like to hear what NMDC's intentions are here, probably too early....
