Fact is, it LOOKED like a genuine airframe, OK?
Used similar old fuselages for training in parachute exits way back in another life. (old DC3, in the main). None of them were made of steel, or wood, or rubber...They were the real deal minus engines & sometimes wings. Steel planes my clacker valve. Any idea what that would cost? When the real deal in aluminium is there in abundance?

On the explosive properties of aluminium, I have some knowledge. Mixed with certain ingredients I wont mention here, I believe it used to blow the quap out of people's letter boxes and dustbins nearly 60 years back. So I heard.. :-)
And I'm sure adding water wouldnt have helped.
End of story.
