Thanks Chris for that. However, the Iranians do not follow due process on anything and even the British Foreign Office travel advice refers to how one should expect that if one is detained that consular officials will not necessarily be informed and that consular access will not necessarily be granted. Shirin Ebadi has commented that the minor hanged this week for murder couldn't have committed murder because it was not premeditated (the boy didn't know his attacker apparently). As well as not following due process or adhering to any international agreements, the Iranians don't even do joined up Government properly. It is perfectly possible for one department to sign an agreement with the Russians while another maintains our agreement is valid. Like all dictatorships the various power centres in Iran live in cess pit of delusions. It's high time they got a reality check like a billion dollar international arbitration case thrown at them, IMO. Apologies for misunderstanding your shareholding: 8m is substantial. Yesterday's news that things can arrive before they have left (neutrinos travelling faster than the speed of light) might mean we can get a lot more back out of the Iranians than the market thinks. :)
