Welcome aboard Fluffy - glad that you can see the value at 18c!

And here I was thinking the oppies were good value at 5c (in post consol terms = 50c) earlier this year. If I had sold all my oppies at the top & bought heads today I could have over 2.5m FPOs now, rather than just under 1m sickly CCCOs. I sure have learned a bloody hard lesson in respecting the charts, setting stop losses, patience, holding plenty of cash reserves, and to NOT buy into a downtrend. Thank goodness I'm still relatively young (37) & can recover these losses - having a good job & a forgiving wife who also makes decent money. That said, she keeps telling me to put our money in the bank!! Sometimes it pays to listen to your wife.

CCC shareholders who have held in good faith since early 2011 have been severely punished by the market for the lengthy & and exasperating delays at Penumbra and Botswana. Having a parasitic quant fund continually push down the closing price by virtue of one or two shares most days for the last 6 months hasn't helped either. Then there is Julius FatBoy Malema & his ANCYL cronies.

Once the $20m SIOC-CDT deal is finalized, 100% of Mashala is acquired, the VanMag $10m is FINALLY in the kitty, along with some drilling results in Botswana, finalisation of the ABSA package, there is solid progress at Penumbra, a BFS at DeWittekrans, perhaps success in Kenya, or even a ripper new acquisition (which Don Turvey continually alludes to) - then Conti should be well placed to weather any financial storms, provided RB coal prices remain above $100pt. It's worth noting that XStrata just signed a new annual thermal coal contract with Japanese utilities for $126.50 a tonne.
