From what I recall, pinto, gold, copper, the AUD, were much lower in the last GFC. I believe people return the the USD (I know, right?) and bonds when the rest of the markets fail. This looked to be happening last week. Some people on HC are, quite seinsibly, returning to cash. The rest of us hold the bag.
