Interesting to see all this discussion relating to a potential takeover of SFR by OZ. Also interesting to read that at least the OZ Board still sees some value in SFR by acquiriing a further 1.8 million shares to top-up their interest to just under 20%.
The article by Klinger in thewest.com.au states they have used the lower prices as a buying opportunity but I'm guessing they must have paid in excess of $6.50 per share for their stake given 'late last week' as the stated timing...
Not understanding the OZ strategy on this one. This may create further speculation and upward pressure on the SFR price.
