Hi ewob
Agree with your sentiments.
Have a feeling that this will be the start of a series of announcements leading up to the rollout.
Feel genuinely sorry for Cam Smith as he set an example in shareholder communication that many other ASX CEOs could learn from.
Ousting the CEO will get attention.
I tend to feel he was ousted due to the immediate cessation of duties and lack of any statement appreciating his past efforts in bringing the company to this point.
The new CEO will get attention.
The new CEO appointment completes the effective takeover of PIE management by ex Telstra senior exec's. There will be interest in both the new CEO & his capabilities but also the management takeover and its implications.
The move of HO to Sydney will gain attention.
To me this implies Telstra is the main reason for the move. If this is true then it follows (IMHO) that for a company to move its entire operation 3,000km, the incentive must be very high. I am hoping this is indicative of a large rollout.
Again, really disappointed for Cam but see this as a huge positive and hopefully the start of something.
Cheers
