We all must let the BOD know what an appalling decision they have made. Send emails and letters!
Remind them that they do have Australian investors and we don't want to be screwed further with Canadian cheques that our banks will exchange at unfavourable retail terms. (Fees plus retail exchange) Miningnut mentioned this earlier.
We should also express our concern for the jobs of the Anvil staff in Perth and the DRC. This becomes very worrying for them. Will they have any job security?
Also the social development programs that Anvil is a leader in. I suggest Minmetals does not share our same social development concerns.
So don't just give up yet. Flight for a better deal for investors, employees and the people of the DRC.
