Yes wc8 some lovely points there. But you did not mention that silver long term is going to be rarer than gold. Or do you not agree with the various institutions that have claimed this?
If it was not for the digital camera silver would be trading over $200 per ounce (there would be 300 million ounces used per year in photography. I am talking physical as it would have already detached form the paper for. The digital camera has lessened the demand for silver but there are now to many industrial demands for silver that will see it at over $200 per ounce in the next ten years. I'm not even talking about the inflation/hyperinflation/money printing situations that if they do happen only further the course for owning silver.
We must detach from gold as there is barely any industrial use for it. Think of silver like water. Unless we go back to the middle ages we need it to live.
