In Australia, the market on Friday closed flat after a day of trading within a narrow range ahead of long weekends locally and in Asia.
The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 0.3 points, or 0.01 per cent, at 4,008.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index gained 2.2 points to 4,070.1.
