i have a query about how your statement at the end of your second para tallies with the rest of the post - i posted on general asx on another thread today also that the money will have to find a home, and eventually it will have to go back into equities

now your post sort of says that, but then seems to be very bearish??!

now i am not a raving bull ( though i see someone says charlie atkin has been today ) and i am still worried but so is everyone, so it must be getting close to a bottom of some sorts ( at least in terms of time frame) and i hope we hold above that 3700 odd level or even above aug 8th lows as that will be a good sign - a big global recession and i guess the time frame for a low could be extended, but i am in the camp that a lot of bad news has been built into equity prices and we could easily be near a low point for the next 6 to 8 months !!
