It's the way you are proposing your questions firsova and good oil that is sneaky at best. You are trying to sow seeds of doubt rather than contribute and it's poor form IMO but each to their own.
There could be a hundred valid reasons for the business not taking off like many many startups but you are trying to make it sound suspicious instead of going to the source of the info and finding out the truth which may or may not look good for frank. It's poor form to cast aspersions bordering on slander by hinting and possible dodgy business practices with zero factual basis.
