Because your mates are dececrators, Yak.
I can imagine your squealing if that was done to to the Talmud or your tabernacles.
Afghan protests over Koran 'desecration' spread.
Protests over alleged desecration of the Koran by US troops have spread to the Afghan capital, following two days of rioting in the east of the country.
Four people were killed during demonstrations in Jalalabad, when police opened fire to control a crowd angry over reports in US-based magazine Newsweek.
The magazine cited sources as saying that investigators at the US detention centre in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, uncovered a previously unreported case that interrogators flushed a Koran down a toilet and led a detainee around with a collar and a dog leash.
Between 200 and 300 Kabul University students carrying banners saying, "We condemn the desecration of Koran by the US soldiers" rallied early today in the centre of the capital.
"Our demonstration today is mainly about the desecration of the Koran. They should arrest those responsible and punish them, so it becomes a lesson for the rest of the soldiers to respect other religions," said student Mohammed Shasiq.
Another similar demonstration started at the Polytechnic Institute, north-east of Kabul, where protesters torched a US flag.
Police were at the scene but there were no Afghan or US-led coalition troops present.
Peaceful demonstrations were also held in the south-eastern Afghan provinces of Khost, Laghman and Wardak yesterday.
