Gold mine decision by end of October:
A MEETING later this month to consider an application for a gold mine at Cononish could shape the future of Tyndrum and the wider Strathfillan area.
Scotgold want to extract 20,000 ounces of gold and 80,000 ounces of silver from the hills of Cononish in what would be Scotland’s first gold mine.
Should the development go ahead, it would be worth millions to the local and national economy, generating jobs for years to come.
A decision is expected on October 25.
