The obvious thing to me from all this is simply that LNG want to secure gas supply: they don't want it taken away from them as with AOE or BOW. So, now that they have almost a blocking stake in MEL, are they going to the next step? If so, when will it be announced, and how will it be funded given that the gas extraction and processing, pipeline and LNG plant will cost many times the combined MC of both LNG and MEL.
