Regardless of if you believe Global Warming or not is real, it has no relationship to the Carbon Tax.
The Carbon Tax does not effectively address "Global Warming" to any degree.
It does not address the main causes of "Global Warming".
It does not address the biggest causes, Coal, Oil, etc.
It does not put a Carbon Tax on imported goods made by high Carbon producers overseas.
It does not use the Carbon Tax (or very little of) to invest in alternatives to the high Carbon output industries.
How does Taxing our electricity reduce Carbon if as individuals we do not have an alternative? (We already pay high electricity prices).
How does the future idea of our industries buying Carbon Credits from overseas reduce our Carbon output here? Doesn't it just mean that our industries can still output high amounts of Carbon as long as they have purchased overseas Carbon Credits?
So as long as you can buy enough Carbon Credits, you can pollute as much as you like?
How does giving money back to the person you made pay the Carbon Tax make sense?
This concept of Taxing everything as a means of reducing the demand for things is wrong, especially when we have no alternate to use.
