ENGINEERING and construction outfit VDM Group is considering selling its subsidiary, Cape Crushing and Earthmoving Contractors.

VDM said it has received a non-binding indicative proposal for Cape and believes the proposal is worthy of further consideration.

As such, the company granted the bidder a four week period of exclusivity to conduct due diligence.

The terms of deal remain confidential.

“Despite discussions being in preliminary stages, VDM Group believes it is important to ensure its shareholders are informed that an indicative proposal has been received, particularly in light of the restructuring initiatives that are currently being progressed,” the company said.

“The management team of Cape are involved in, and are supportive of, the process.”

And in light of the company’s plan to raise between $28 million and $52 million via an entitlements offer to existing shareholders, VDM reiterated its intention to complete the entitlements offer and disclose any pertinent information to shareholders.

VDM shares remain in trading halt.
