You can call yourself an atheist or whatever, but to try and blame the world's problems on religion is a very simplistic view of things.
Wars are started because of human greed not religion. Religion is used as an excuse but the real motivator behind the majority of wars has always been human greed and the desire to have more.
All religions preach peace and tolerance. It is only the twisted few who misinterpret these holy books into something that will suit their agenda.
Maybe you should have posted that the next step in human evolution is humans actually not wanting more, not being greedy.
If humans stopped being greedy for power and money then you will have peace in the world.
No such thing as an atheist in a fox hole. In the end we all want to believe in something, whatever that may be.
