chook - I used to wholeheartedly agree. Now I just tend to agree. let's face it - religion is never going to go away so long as we have a brain capable of imagination. There is no utopia in human-land but one of the big aims of religion is to create one on earth - (by eliminationg the other it seems) - but what you are saying is similar. A world where no one is allowed to believe in anything other than what the 5 senses deliver to our brain to be processed in different ways. I don't think that eliminating religion would put a stop to the deadly sins!
