The Dow has turned positive for 2011 and yet the ASX is still 600 points down for 2011. Why is the sentiment so bad on the ASX? Is it where all the pessimists hang out or something? From where I am sitting, the US is in strife and Australia has/had a mining boom, but you wouldn't think so! When there is good news the 'kicking the can down the road' crap comes out and on bad news its 'told you so' crap!
Over here in NZ we have had mine explosions, earthquakes and now oil pollution from a shipwreck on one of our most beautiful beaches. Has been a shocking year over here and our NZX has broken even for the year! Now there's a reason for us to be pessimistic but we are not! So why are Australians been so negative?
