My comment refers to the political party, not the numerous persons in that party.

In my view, there are more liberals in the Labor Party than in the Liberal Party.

I would consider a former Liberal premier of Victoria, the late Dick Hamer of Victoria as a liberal, not a conservative.

I would not consider John Howard, or Peter Costello, or Peter Reith as liberals. Malcolm Fraser started off as a conservative but ended as a liberal.

I would consider Whitlam as a liberal. I would consider Keating as a conservative.
