Yes Russia was one of the biggest sellers of weapons to Iraq and as were France, I do not remeber disputing this anywhere.

But you dimwitted ones Iraq at the time had one of the largest military forces in the world in terms of man power and CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS, weapons that were mainly supplied,as Olives little graph shows, by Russia and France. ANd do not forget these weapons were supplied to Iraq to fight the war agains Iran, a war the US supported Iraq in.

Now maybe Olive could find a nice little chart to post showing the countries who supplied materials and technology to Iraq for NON CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS.

Remember guys this is what the thread is about NON CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS or WMDs not total arm sales including non conventional weapons which would have made up the bulk of military hardware sold.
