"While iron ore had another stellar quarter, the same could not be said for BHP’s copper production which fell 19% quarter-on-quarter from 272,300 tonnes to 220,300t for the three-month period.
BHP said copper production during the period was impacted by lower ore grades and industrial action at Escondida, planned maintenance activity at Pampa Norte and planned smelter and refinery outages at Olympic Dam."
