I don't have access to the EA and conditions Cougar agreed to to run it's trial. Poyndexter, in his 3rd paragraph, suggests Cougar agreed to a trigger level for benzene of 1ppb.

If that is so, what does it matter what levels of benzene meet WHO or Australian standards for various types of water. Cougar agreed, apparently, to a 1ppb trigger level so that's what they should live with. Complaining after the fact is a bit rich.

They might have a case against DERM and government officers, DERM didn't exactly receive a ringing endorsement from the ISP, but I simply don't know. To the best of my knowledge no matter how incompetent this government and it's agencies can be they're not corrupt, as some have said in other threads, and the courts will deal fairly with the case before it. Cougar might win but, brace yourselves, it might lose too.
