You're missing the point if you think its about the outlay. Someone previously mentionned Rivkin. Absolutely right. And Vizard lost money on his insider deals. Its as much about perception as anything else. Dodgy perception of dodgy deals.
Janvier, on your "downramping" call. It always amuses when someone is so naive to believe that the odd post on this forum is enough to shift the market. What a joke. The point of the post was simple - 201 is not producing near where they said it was and the resource statement is 11 months late. Flow rates are key, obviously, and we need holes to tell us what they are.
We have quite a few eggs in one basket - which is fine, so long as we have our eyes wide open and call it for what it is. A hairy-chested punt, de-risked somewhat due to 201 cashflows, but nowhere near de-risked enough. I'm happy to stay in because I reckon these guys know where to drill, but lets not kid ourselves. A balanced debate always gets a better investment outcome than mindless BUY lemmings accusing any negative sentiment of being a downramp.
IMO, the Meerkat has been known to go too far the other way, but give me someone who questions over a blind follower every time.
