You can't ignore the ironies of life though. The geothermal industry and the SPs were at an all time high pre-2007 election when the Libs were in. (I admit it was pre-GFC but still)
Even after the last 2010 election and with the Greens having more sway in Parliament, the geothermal industry and other renewables are continuing to languish - barely keeping their head above water and relying on boutique s'holders. The sense of urgency is not there.
How quickly the govt allocates the recently collated funds, the amount, and to which geothermal company or wave (such as CWE) will be a true measure of how serious they really are in getting the renewable industry back on track.
