I read the bit about "their land", and I couldn't help wonder what really is their land? its good a thing there are no sacred sites, otherwise it would be aboriginal land, but then I thought that aboriginals were nomadic and the land belonged to everyone , and only in a type of "caretaker" role, at best.....

now lets suppose that the land that the farmer works does "belong" to him,say, then what about the land under the land... couldnt that belong to someone else at the same time, if the farmer was not accessing and using it?

and what if "ownership" was based on effectiveness of usage of the land for the benefit of all (now I sound like a water melon, dont I ?.... green on the outside and red in the middle) then why not let them work the topsoil and someone else dig around in the bottom soil

but that probably wouldnt work because the CSG people totally take over the top soil .. you know buildings, trucks, roads while poisoning the aquifers , thus the water that the farmer drinks, sprays on crops and cattle lick..

but then dont the farmers run cattle that bugger up river and stream banks, grow beef on ground that , under crops, may produce 5 times the protein by weight and nutrition, spray those river banks with weedicides and their crops with pesticides that are soluble in water that soaks down into the water table when it rains or gets washed into rivers and streams when it rains and then out to sea on the way contaminating river fish, estuarine fish and marine fish

yeah, and another thing, why are we having flooding and river banks disappearing and river bottoms silting up

where is the river care, the land care... agh.... its all too much I just dont care anymore!

and I dont believe those Santos ads... co-existence...bah, those photos are photoshopped ... you cant tell me a gas outlet, green grass and another gas outlet can live in harmony ... farmland, gasland, ....our land, which gets me back to where I started, just whose land is it anyway ?
