An article at the address below comments on ambitious plans to develop a gigawatt of solar generation capacity in Namibia. Like EVM the proponents have a PPA in place but the article indicates a lack of funding and expertise make it unlikely to be realised. The article goes on to mention "Companies like Solaren (space solar) and EnviroMission (1000-foot-high solar thermal chimneys) also have PPAs but little chance of deployment". Is this the reality of our starry eyed investment laid bare by an industry commentator?
