I must say..and I understand confidentiality, however there would not be any confidentiality if he actually provided more in-depth explanation on what "our" company is actually doing.

The general delivery of "we're doing stuff with somebody" is getting a bit boring, especially when he can say "we're doing ~insert DETAILS here~ with somebody" and still not breach confidentiality agreements....or maybe he can't.?

If I actually had a say, I'd advise that he's not getting his Options approved based on him not meeting MY KPI's of keeping the market informed.
