The critical point of our political situation that Ms Gillard's posting plant's like to distract attention away from is that Labor has become basically meaningless and they are slaves to mainly Prime Minister Bob Brown.
Labor as it used to be was not all that much different from the Coalition but with a heavy union influence and an insane desire to waste taxpayers' money necessitating a change of government after a couple of years to restore sanity to the economy ( like now ).
The real danger to Australia is the insidious policies of the Greens. Both Tony Abbott and Bob Brown are enjoying seeing Labor destroy itself as it struggles to implement Bob Brown's socialist policies. And, of course, poor old Ms G will be blamed for everything. The death grip of the Greens means the world's greatest treasurer is unable to control the Dutch Disease and overseas competition that is steadily dragging Australia down.
Bob Brown's plan is that his Green's party will be advertised at the next election by someone holding a cute little endangered marsupial while standing near some lovely greenery. He hopes that the thousands of utterly disillusioned former Labor voters will be so attracted to this fresh attractive Greens image after putting up with the dismal failure image of Labor that they will vote in a landslide for the Greens so that they will become the 2nd major party in the lower house.
If the Greens were to become the major party then Australia will experience the greatest shock it has ever had since Japan invaded Australia in WW2. The Greens want to turn Australia into a government controlled agrarian country like possibly Communist North Korea or perhaps East Berlin before the Wall came down. The good old CO2 tax will rocket to at least $150/tonne of CO2, petrol for private cars will be about at least $5.00/liter, etc just read their web site.
