re: Ann: Notice of Annual General Meeting/Pro... A listed company must have its AGM by the end of November, and it requires at least 28 days notice to be given to shareholders.
So they had to call an AGM to deal with the normal day to day items.
Clearly setting the EGM up on the back of something which they continue to hint about.
