Scouser, msa, Nervous db, et all,
I am not going to say that famous "I told you so phrase" because it is not proper to say it. Let alone being totally out of place and not at all intended to be said by me.
But, I hope, that you all, just the same as I did in all of my years of investing, will now come to realise that you cannot trust Management and Directors to the full extent of what they are saying. Only what is in writing can count. Definitely not in words or with a wink wink, nudge nudge situation. I have learnt it myslef in the very hard way, and in one Company alone I lost some very big money.
Don't ever forget that these peple are there for one thing and one thing alone. And that is, for what they can get out of it for themselves. Not what you and me are hoping for.
I sincerely hope, without offence to anyone, that you have learnt something out of all this, and that there are other places for rosed coloured glasses to be worn. And that place is definitely not in the sharemarket where there are too many wolves and vultures ready to take advantage of the unsuspecting investors at all times.
What did we get out of all this ?? Some of us very very little indeed, others with a little luck they may have squared up, while others could have lost big in this story.
Years and years of investing while risking hard earned, for nothing !!!
But what did the Management and board got out of all this in contrast to us ?? Very very big emoluments with all the freebies and lurks and perks that goes along with the job, and of course the millions of shares that they awarded to themsleves for achieving very little in return, simply because they thought they deserved that.
It goes on all the timemy friends, and IMO it can be defined as white collar crime that unfortunately our regulators and lawmakers seems to be turning their blind eye to all this.
Look at what happened over the last couple of years while we were treated as mushrooms and while they were coming up with every scheme possible to award themselves more and more free shares for instance. IMO they knew what they were doing and knew that what was there wasn't what we were made to believe there was, and tried to accumulate, at our cost, as many shares as possible while knowing what was going to eventually happen. IMO it could also have been with the blessing of STO as well, for, if they didn't want it to happen, STO could have put a stop to that. Instead they were voting in favour of all that. WHY....???
Good luck all, and please keep it always in your mind just for good measure.
I am sure that we will see each other in some other threads, and hopefully we can work together in a more harmonius way.
Regards
