SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures traded lower Friday, taking a breather after strong gains this week. Crude for December delivery CL1Z -1.41% retreated $1.32, or 1.4%, to $92.64 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Oil has gained nearly 7% so far this week, marked by optimism surrounding the euro zone's debt plan, an expansion in the U.S. economy and, earlier Friday, news that U.S. consumers saved less and spent more in September.
