David - my point is the housing unaffordability issue needs to be addressed at all levels, none of this negative gearing nonsense that makes it harder for renters and people to own multiple rental properties.
The housing issue is affecting a large part of the workforce, although not all may have militant unions like the TWU. When you can buy a 4 bedroom house in the US for $30k, house prices here are inexcusable. Maybe Gillard should try tackling that instead of tackling 'climate change' and in doing so increasing electricty/gas prices instead.
